Every year in February I find myself brainstorming destination ideas for the Easter long weekend in early April. As with the nature of peak season and holiday periods, flights and accommodation can get very expensive so I like to book as far in advance as I possibly can. I’m not sure whether or not I’ll travel somewhere in Australia or if I’ll head overseas. As the Easter break is for four days, I wouldn’t want to travel too far overseas as it’ll chew into my exploring time. But for those looking to stay somewhere a little closer in Australia, have you considered Noosa in Queensland? Noosa has been a family holiday destination since I moved to Brisbane from Sydney many moons ago. We first holidayed on the Gold Coast but soon discovered the tranquil beaches of the Sunshine Coast, and most particularly Noosa. The two best months to visit Noosa, in my experience, is April and September; just when the weather is starting to cool down and warm up. Stuck on where to stay? Look no further than Noosa Crest.

Noosa Crest offers luxury apartment and penthouses with stunning views over Noosa Heads, Laguna Bay and the Noosa River. This first class accommodation is located on Noosa Hill, overlooking the hustle and bustle of Hastings Street. There is a beautiful range of self-contained 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom holiday and penthouse apartments.

The exclusive resort is hidden amongst five acres of charmingly landscaped gardens with a unique private rainforest and access walkway fronting the Noosa River. Offering tranquillity and seclusion, Noosa Crest is a short walk to Hastings Street, Main Beach and the National Park, which is home to Australia’s most beautiful secluded coves and bays. Noosa Junction is only a five minute walk and is perfect to pick up groceries, see a movie, enjoy a drink and treat yourself to a spot of shopping.

For those looking to spend their days retreating around the resort, there is a private tennis court, two swimming pools, a spa, rooftop barbeque and sauna rooms. I recently spent a weekend at Noosa Crest and with its stunning self-contained apartments, it was very easy to feel at home. And the added bonus of being able to cook meals from the comfort of your private apartment, which I love, is something I always crave on holidays.
