I've been to a few beach clubs during my travels including Barcelona, Mykonos, Santorini, Berlin and Phuket to name just a few. They are a truck load of fun and I've always had the best time. Most recently on my trip to Bali I went to Potato Head Beach Club with friends and needless to say I wasn't disappointed. The best way to get to Potato Head is to catch a taxi; if you are staying in Seminyak this shouldn't cost you more than AUD $2.50. Yes, taxis in Bali are so cheap!! Or you could walk up to Potato Head along the beach, which is even easier. My best advice is to book ahead if you can, especially in peak season which is in July and August. We simply turned up around 5pm to watch the sun set and were given a great table by the side bar at the front of the beach but we really wanted to sit on the day beds by the pool. We put our name down and after our first cocktail, one of the day beds had our name written all over it. Cocktails range from $9 to $13 and I recommend the Indos Nesos, a delicious combination of vanilla vodka, lychees, apricot liqueur and coconut milk.
