I was first introduced to the power of manifestation over two years ago. I was having dinner with my bestie Christina and she told me how manifesting had helped her, and her business partner, create success for their interior design and styling business Triibe. I was instantly captivated by her experiences and learnings; I had been supporting their incredible business journey and I had no idea some of their successes were attributed to their ability to manifest something into reality.

The mind has an astonishing power to achieve so much of what we imagine for ourselves, and the best part? Anyone can manifest anything. All you need is a strong will, awareness and belief you can do it, as well as the commitment to see the outcome through to the end at all costs.

However whilst anyone can manifest anything, it doesn’t mean we all have the will, awareness and belief to go through with it. Self doubt is the enemy of manifesting with many believing what they want to manifest is impossible to achieve, and others simply give up when it’s gets too hard. The truth of manifesting? You have to really, really want to create it. We’ve all heard our parents say, “what the mind dreams, the mind can achieve,” and they’re right.

Nothing in life comes easy, and I am the firm belief the more you want something, the harder you work for it, and the more success you will achieve. With this in mind, I’ve written below a mini course with steps and techniques to show you how to manifest successfully.

How To Manifest Pin It

STEP ONE: WHAT DO YOU REALLY WANT? There is a reason why I write and evaluate my goals every three months and place them on a whiteboard in my office – it’s because I am specific about what it is I really want and I see them every day. My intention is clear and so too is my path to achieving these wants. So to manifest successfully, you need to know exactly what you want, you need to be specific about what you want and you need to write it down. These three simple steps make for a powerful manifestation.

Task: Write down in a list everything you want to accomplish for the rest of the year. Now read what you have written, get more specific and rewrite your list. Example - I want a new car vs. I will save $1,000 each week so I can buy a new Holden Trax by December.

STEP TWO: VISUALISE, VISUALISE, VISUALISE When you wake up and when you go to sleep, spend five minutes visualising what it is you really want. Picture yourself having the success you want, or the how you want your life to look, or what will happen when you achieve this manifestation.

Task: Ask yourself the following questions. What do you want? What does it look like? How do you feel? What are you doing? Are you excited? Do you feel motivated? It’s essential to be in the moment when you do this, so usually just when you wake up and before you go to bed are really great times to complete this task as you can do so in the quiet darkness. The key here however is not to think about how this will happen – you need to visualise as though it has already happened. This task is not about the journey, it’s about the destination.

STEP THREE: BE AWARE AND LOOK FOR SIGNS One of the keys to successfully manifest is to be aware of your surroundings and look for signs. Many people who manifest successfully are fully aware of their Angel Numbers, they read the signs when something happens to them or they see something and they interpret them. People who manifest successfully don’t believe in ‘coincidence’, they interpret it as a sign pointing them in a certain direction.

Task: Buy or borrow a book called The Alchemist. It’s a powerful short story dedicated to acknowledging, understanding, interpreting and actioning awareness and signs. You must read this before you move onto Step Four.

STEP FOUR: TAKE ACTION There are no shortcuts here - if you don’t take action, nothing will happen. You will need a lot of will, consistency and motivation to take the steps required to achieve what you wrote down in Step One.

Task: Taking action to achieve what you want is something you need to do every single day. Put daily reminders on your phone/laptop calendar so you are consistently manifesting.

STEP FIVE: BE POSITIVE AND BE THANKFUL To manifest successfully, you need to be positive and thankful of all the milestones along the path to achievement. Manifesting has no time for negativity or uncertainty. You need a strong resolve in order to manifest properly. And be thankful for the little things, it’s often these that provide the stepping stones to manifestation.

Task: Every day ask yourself, write down one thing you are feeling positive about and one thing you are grateful for. I find keeping this list on the Notes section of my phone really helpful as I can look back at it easily.

STEP SIX: WORK HARD AT YOUR BELIEFS As I mentioned earlier, self doubt (and limiting beliefs) is the number one killer of manifesting successfully. There is nothing worse than actioning Step One by writing down what you really want, only to deep down believe you can’t actually achieve this want, or doubt that you will, or even worse, don’t think you deserve it. So you need to work hard at believing your beliefs.

Task: Write down one of your goals and focus on your subconscious – can you hear a lingering voice of doubt or negative thinking? If so, write down what it is saying. Then ask yourself, are they true? No. They are not. So work hard at your beliefs and crushing self doubt by creating a positive mantra. Use this to kill your self doubt. Trust me, it’s incredible what this can do when manifesting!

STEP SEVEN: SET OBSTACLES AS OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN You will no doubt experience obstacles on your path to manifesting success. Instead of letting them beat you down, accept them. See obstacles as the Universe’s way of offering you an opportunity to learn and show you what you need to do in order to continue down your path of success. The more you embrace these setbacks and work to overcome them, the closer to want you really want will be.

Task: Write down one obstacle you have recently faced, and ask yourself the following questions: What did you do about it? What did you learn about it? How did it shape your path to success?
