It's only been a few days since I've returned from my epic adventure in Tasmania and I already miss it!  I left the beautiful and warm Sunshine Coast last week to spend five days exploring Hobart and Cradle Mountain, wrapped up in wooly winter coats in front of a fireplace. We alllll know how much I love Tasmania...but it was this trip where I discovered the most beautiful hotel in Hobart, Somerset on the Pier.

With Mount Wellington in the background and the scenic Derwent River passing through, this quaint capital city is the perfect port town for those looking to experience a slice of Tasmania. Playing host to an array of outdoor pursuits, historical sites, a thriving foodie scene and let's not forget, home to Princess Mary of Denmark, there's plenty of reason to visit Hobart.

With so much to see and do, you'll want to spend a least a couple of nights here and you should look no further than Somerset on the Pier. Ideally located on the waterfront in the heart of laid-back Hobart, Somerset on the Pier offers breathtaking views of the River Derwent and historic Sullivan's Cove on either side of the pier.

Each serviced apartment is designed to make guests feel at home, with a fully equipped kitchen in case you want to enjoy a home cooked meal at your own leisure. Depending on how many people you're travelling with, there are a range of rooms to choose from; I stayed in a split level loft with central heating, a lounge room and two bathrooms. Other services include babysitting (how amazing is that), laundry and dry-cleaning, in-residence massages and room service.
